Reply To Mark's Question: Why must we have UV light for free radical substitution.
My reply: Firstly to have chlorine radical, i need to get it from chlorine molecule.... So, I need a minimum energy to break up my chlorine molecule to get chlorine radical.... ms pang :)
When I was in uni, i was amazed by the availability of an interactive forum where students were encouraged to post questions. This allows students to have a data-bank of all the questions & answers!
Some questions asked by students were very intriguing that I had never thought of. When I read their questions, I realised that I knew too little of the subject and that was why I was unable to ask those questions!
